Heath, the latest addition to our team, joined Brown and Son Plumbing in early May this year. Raised in rural South Australia near Port Augusta for the first six years, he later relocated to Balhannah in the Adelaide Hills.

Heath's early exposure to the plumbing profession came from observing and emulating his father, Ian, who is also a skilled plumber. When Heath was in high school, he followed the trade path. He took VET courses in plumbing, which he enjoyed, along with obtaining other on-the-job industry skills such as tiling, carpentry, bricklaying, and concreting.

Heath is an avid tennis player and competes regularly along with playing footy in the Hills league. This is congruent with his high energy levels and endurance to get in and work hard until the job is completed.

Heath has demonstrated a strong passion for providing quality customer service. He can explain and show customers his completed work with attention to detail. His work ethic is exceptional, and he always seeks the best customer solution.

Heath is not only constantly looking to learn and absorb information from others, but he is always looking to help others in the team grow and learn, which is a positive testament to his character.

Working alongside Heath has been a pleasure, and his positive impact on the team is evident in his character and collaborative spirit.

‘Tam,’ as she likes to be referred to, is a fun, bubbly, outgoing, professional, hard-working individual. She brings a positive spark to work daily, striving to go above and beyond for all our customers.

Tam spent her childhood in the small country town of Millicent in the states Southeast. During her early days, she worked in apple orchards, Woolworths, and her local Community Club as a waitress. Tam, then moved to Coles in Mount Gambier, started a Traineeship and worked for 12 years. Tam eventually worked her way up as a manager and it was at Coles where she met the man of her dreams, Angelo. She then moved to Adelaide in 2012 to start a new life. They now have two amazing kids together.

There is a saying in our office about Tam. “You can take the girl out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the girl.”

As Tam is a part of our extended family and knowing how personable she is, when we heard she was looking to re-enter the workforce after her two kids were in school, we quickly approached her to come and join our team. Tam started working for Brown and Son Plumbing in 2019. Without any formal admin training, but with her drive to succeed, she quickly took charge and took it upon herself to grow her admin knowledge. Picking up the basics very quickly and working autonomously within weeks, we knew this was a great new fit for her, and with her background in customer service, she is a perfect fit for our office.
