In the two years of working with the Lou Miranda team, we have performed many varied jobs, from small to medium reactive maintenance tasks, through to a large, planned cold water main upgrade throughout the entire winery processing facility.
During this time, we have formed genuine friendships with the ladies and we always look forward to catching up with them while working there. The coffee is always amazing when we visit and we do enjoy the wine too. In particular the old vine shiraz range.
Lou Miranda Estate is a winery and vineyard located in the Southern Barossa Valley. With three sisters at the helm, all third-generation vignerons, we produce wines from our 100 acres and are proud custodians to four Centenarian vineyards of Shiraz, Mataro (Mourvèdre) & Grenache, the oldest dating back to 1898.
We offer a premium wine brand, rich in experience, we celebrate the now. We are unapologetic in our approach to winemaking. Our brands Lou Miranda Estate and Fierce III are produced with texture and structure. Our overall focus is to produce wines with depth and integrity. After establishing the company in 2005, the sisters have worked closely together to improve operations at the winery and overall vineyard management with the introduction of composting, under vine manager, improving pruning schedules, and rejuvenation of underperforming vineyards.
We work in both the wholesale and retail realms. Our wholesale aspirations are to get listings in all our favorite restaurants in Australia, while our retail aspirations are to be the wine you pick off the shelf to share with your family and friends. What an honor it would be for us if you choose our wine for those moments in your life.
Throughout our young business life, we have had some great professional achievements from landing national distribution for our Fierce III range, to shipping our wines around the world. As a member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia, we are committed to improving our knowledge of vineyards and wine production, and the continual development of these methods within our day-to-day practices.
